Dan Yoest ...

I’m co-owner of the Dan Yoest Insurance Agency along with my wife, Guin. I’m a native of Tipton, Missouri where I grew up on a farm and learned the value of hard work and taking care of business. I received my Bacholor’s degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia (GO TIGERS!!) and later earned my Master’s Degree as well. I taught Vocational Agriculture for 12 years before deciding to leave education for a career in business.

Before starting my own agency, I worked with a captive insurance company and found that I didn’t have the products and pricing that was most beneficial for my clients. So… in August, 1988, I opened The Dan Yoest Insurance Agency which is located in beautiful, historic downtown Washington, Missouri just 4 blocks from the Missouri River.

For the most part, I oversee the day-to-day operation of the agency and enjoy working with clients on their commercial insurance and life insurance needs. The agency represents a wide array of insurance companies and I can usually find a carrier that can meet both the protection needs and the financial requirement of almost any client.

Guin and I have two beautiful daughters both of whom live and work in the St. Louis area and we enjoy spending time with them whenever possible. In my spare time, I also enjoy all types of sports and outdoor activities such as biking, hunting and fishing. We attend church at the Saint Francis Borgia parish and are active members of the Washington Optimist Club.
